I have gained confidence in skills that I had not considered before, and as I do not yet know exactly what I would like to do after graduation, it has been invaluable to get some insight into new sectors.
The main reason I wanted to join Studenteer was to help broaden my skills in web design as I wasn’t that good at it before I started. I was very excited to learn and hone these skills to gain experience that I otherwise wouldn’t have got.
I have been matched with UN Women (which is really exciting) to help shape, organise, promote and deliver a series of live-stream events for their Safe Spaces campaign. My role, along with the furlonteer I have been partnered with, is to support the fundraising team with administrative tasks, brief speakers, liaise with brands and come up with ideas.
